Loma Portal Foundation

Builds Community

For the Whole Family

Loma Portal Elementary is a vibrant, family-oriented school and the Loma Portal Foundation creates opportunities for the whole family to be a part of the LPE community – starting with supporting the youngest incoming LPE students and their parents at Day as a Dolphin and culminating with the 4th grade family promotion party. Between those pinnacle events are a plethora of opportunities to come together with friends, new and old:

  • Annual Summer Playdates are a fun way to get together with the entire grade before school starts back each year.

  • Monthly Family Dinner Nights are a great way to see friends off campus while raising money for the school.

  • Daily Run 4 Life before school is an invigorating way to start the day for students, parents, and even younger siblings.

  • And, throughout the school year, families come back to campus in the evening for our Variety Show, Family Fitness Night, Family Dance, Movie Nights, and the legendary Loma Portal Monster Bash!

For the Parents

Loma Portal students create great friendships during their school years, and the Foundation encourages Loma Portal parents to do the same. By hosting Parent Nights Out after each evening Foundation meeting and coffee mornings, the Foundation hopes to help make connections among the Loma Portal adults attached to those Loma Portal students, strengthening the connections made at the school and in the Loma Portal Elementary community as a whole. The Dads Club is a great way to get involved with hands-on projects around campus, work the grill at an event, set up Monster Bash, or get together with other Loma Portal dads for a casual meet up. And, with two not-to-be-missed annual parent-only parties: the Loma Portal Auction and the Kick-off to Summer Party, there are plenty of opportunities to spend time with these new friends.

For the Families in Need

The Loma Portal Foundation works to ensure that no family’s financial circumstances precludes them from the opportunities provided by the Foundation. Financial hardship will not keep a student from getting a new book at the Book Fair or a yearbook at the end of the year, or cause them to miss a night out at school with their friends at Monster Bash. The work of the Foundation is to engage the entire school community and further the opportunities for all Loma Portal students.
